This is the first attempt at a Luffwaffe HiRes skin....

This HiRes Me109G-2 'Yellow2'of lll/JG2'Richthofen', Poix France, Spring 1943
is a purely fictional skin and was created as a test for future Messerschmitt projects.
At the time, of this fictional skin, the Luftwaffe HQ had issued a directive
stating that all 'Heraldry' markings and 'Gruppen' symbols were not to be applied
to any frontline fighter aircraft.

Since these aircraft of this time period look somewhat unfinished
without these marking. I choose to ignore said directive in this case.

The yellow painted lower third of the tailfin was not standard issue for fighter
of the western front either. The original example of this style of marking
was applied to the Me109E-4 of l/JG2 piloted by Major Helmut Wick during the Battle of Britain.

This particular 'Gustav' is one of the best modelled Germany aircraft
I have found at Tally-Ho that represents this type.

The development team, mentioned below, are to congratulated
for their collaborative efforts on this warbird...

Cheers mates
